Results/Scoring

Individual Race Scoring

Results for each race will be recorded by USAC officials. For each race, podiums will be awarded for the top three (3) overall combined field finishers as well as the top three (3) finishers for each Master’s category (i.e. Masters 40+, Masters 50+, Masters 60+, etc.). Therefore, if you are a Master’s rider that scores in the top three (3) for both the overall placement and your Master’s category, you would participate in two podiums. Prizes will be awarded to top three (3) overall combined field finishers, but Master’s category top three (3) finishers will have podiums for recognition.

The USAC Official will submit the overall combined field placements for Category upgrade points in accordance with the USAC upgrade rules.

Series Scoring

After each race, riders will receive series points as described below. At the end of the series, the top adult and junior Male/Female points winners will be crowned “King/Queen of the Crit”. The series winners will receive epic bragging rights, a one of a kind Orbital Crit Series Shirt, and/or other prizes.

You can earn points by placing top 10 in the overall combined field OR placing top three in your Master’s category (e.g. Masters 50+). Whichever placement would result in the higher score will be recorded. Example #1: If you place 5th in the combined field and place 2nd in your Master’s category, you would receive 6 points from the overall combined field placement because it is higher than the 4 points that you would receive from a 2nd place Master’s category finish. Example #2: If you place 7th in the combined field but place 1st in your Master’s category you would receive 5 points from the Master’s category finish because it is higher than the 4 points that you would get from the 7th place overall combined field finish.
